S&D Consulting continues its work in the field of property rights

As of this month, S&D Consulting will continue to provide its expertise to the USAID-funded Property Rights Program implemented by Tetra Tech in Kosovo. During the first phase, S&D Consulting developed five in-depth concept notes addressing key pillars identified by the project, as well as conducted a review of the existing legal framework related to property rights in Kosovo. Having successfully concluded this part of the project, at this phase, S&D Consulting will assist the project in developing a comprehensive Action Plan for the implementation of the proposed policy measures of the Strategy on Property Rights in Kosovo, including costing and effective monitoring and evaluation tools.

Kosovo’s minimum wage study

Kosovo’s minimum wage study

In April, S&D consulting was commissioned by the ‘Support to Social Partners” project implemented by a consortium of organizations led by the Kosovar Stability Initiative (IKS) and managed by the European Union Office in Kosovo to prepare a policy brief on the best minimum wage model for Kosovo. The purpose of this study was to assess the methodologies and practices that are used to set minimum wages with the overall aim of informing the ongoing dialogue between various stakeholders in Kosovo on the subject. The study refrains from giving ready-made solutions, but rather highlights the overall policy and socio-economic implications of any policy changes in the context of Kosovo related to minimum wage. It is our hope that the study will serve as a basis for the relevant stakeholders and social partners to engage in an evidence-based dialogue and, as a result, recommend the most appropriate minimum wage in Kosovo.
