Donika Këpuska / Director

Donika is a passionate manager that uses her wide set of soft-skills and her eye for the detail to ensure that every output of S&D meets the highest quality standards. With over 10 years of project management experience, she is versed in all phases of the project cycle. She joined S&D in early 2015 and currently supervises about a dozen of project managers and administrative staff working on various S&D projects.

Donika initially graduated in dentistry before starting to work in project management for a wide range of companies and donor agencies, including GIZ, UNDP, GFA, East West Consulting and Human Dynamics. She completed an MBA from the University of Wales with a focus on Human Resource Management.

    Dafina Doroci

    A seasoned financial administrator with an academic background in management. She successfully completed work on dozens of donor-funded projects before joining S&D in 2013. She currently runs all the numbers from our various projects and ensures that everyone else is able to do their work. Dafina studied management at the University of Prishtina, where she is currently also in the process of obtaining a master’s degree. She has previously worked for international consulting firms such as IBF, CPM and GFA.

    Andi Kastrati

    Andi is a dedicated and enthusiastic executive assistant with a particular interest in project management. He supports the S&D team in everyday activities and acts as personal assistant to the Director. Andi is currently in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree in Management from the University of Prishtina.

Agon Maliqi / Head of Consulting

Agon studied Political Science at the American University in Bulgaria and got his MA in International Development Policy from Duke University (USA). Previously he has worked for UNDP and the Norwegian Embassy in Kosovo.

Agon Maliqi

    Veton Kasapolli

    Veton is a communications consultant with over 12 years of experience in the fields of public relations, strategic communications, reporting, media relations and production of print, broadcast and online media content. Before joining S&D Consulting, he provided services to government bodies as a EU and UN consultant, as well as through development offices of US, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Veton holds an undergraduate degree in Journalism from University of Tirana and a LLM Media Law from the Queen Mary University of London.

    Florin Shala

    Florin is a consultant and project manager specialized on EU and Public Governance issues. He is a graduate of University of New York in Tirana with a BS in International Relations and Political Science, as well as holds two Master’s degrees in European Governance from University of Utrecht in Netherlands and Masaryk University in Czech Republic. Previously Florin worked for an international fuel company in Albania, namely Gulf Oil, where he served as logistics manager and was in charge of dealing with corporate clients.

During our various activities we have worked with several highly esteemed specialists who in the process of prolific cooperation have grown closer and more connected to the professional and personal environment of S&D. Looking for ways to augment this professional affinity with a more structural incorporation, S&D has introduced the concept of associates. Below we list some of the most distinguished experts currently active in Kosovo, all of which have committed to a particularly close partnership and work exclusively or predominantly with S&D.

  • Arbër Kuçi

    Arbër is a researcher and policy consultant trained in journalism and mass communication and international relations. He worked for more than six years at the intersection of journalism, management consultancy, research, and political communication for various local and international organizations, including the USAID Kosovo Private Enterprise Program (KPEP), Kosovar Stability Initiative (IKS), UNDP and OSCE. Arbër studied journalism and international relations at the American University in Bulgaria and was a fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) in Berlin, Germany.

    Madalina Bisog

    Madalina is an economist with a strong background in project management and research, employing strong skills such as sector analysis, cost benefit analysis, Market Systems Development (MSD) and value chain analysis. Madalina has vast experience in research and implementation of projects in areas such as education, private sector development and policy development. She is a graduate of the AIC University in Romania with a BA in Economics and an MA in Management of Organization.

  • Dr. Ardiana Gashi

    Ardiana is one of the top economic researchers and consultants in Kosovo and a professor of Economics at the University of Prishtina. She has designed the methodology for the employer survey on skill needs implemented for several sectors by UNDP and IOM in 2015. Ms. Gashi is also the author of several academic papers and professional research reports and has vast experience as an economic consultant in numerous international projects. In 2007 Ardiana obtained a PhD in Economics from Staffordshire University in the UK. Ardiana’s main areas of interest include: education, labour, private sector development, gender and migration.

    Birol Urcan

    Birol has more than 15 years of experience in communications, public relations and journalism. He has more than eight years of experience in the design and management of public information, media and marketing campaigns. He has an excellent knowledge of EU requirements with regards to visibility and promotion of EU role in the context of a country’ cooperation with the EU as well as about the requirements on public relations applied to promotion and dissemination of results under various operational programs. Birol has a Master of Arts in Journalism and Communication and is pursuing a degree in Film Directing at the Faculty of Arts, University of Prishtina.

  • Mentor Alishani

    Mentor holds a Master’s degree in Veterinary Public Health from the University of Tirana, Albania. He is a doctoral candidate at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Currently he is externally engaged as teaching and research assistant at the University of Prishtina in several subjects, including Parasitology I and II, Animal Infectious Disease with Epizootiology and Veterinary Legislation. His primary interests include the Veterinary Public Health, Food Safety and Epidemiology of zoonosis. Previously he worked as a consultant in various local and international organizations, such as: USAID, EU, World Bank, IPSIA, Solidar Suisse, IADK, KAMP, KDPA. He participated in numerous trainings and conferences in different countries including Switzerland, UK, Lithuania, Turkey, Albania, Serbia and Macedonia.

    Lorik Rexhepi

    Lorik is a junior researcher and consulting professional with a focus in the fields of property rights, gender equality and international rule of law missions. He has published work on UNMIK’s state-building mission and its effect on rule of law in Kosovo. His previous engagements include assisting in numerous projects in the field of law, gender issues, environment and the private sector in Kosovo. He holds an undergraduate degree in Law from the University of York in the United Kingdom.”
